Safety One, Version 2.0

In a Continued Effort to Provide High-Quality Safety Training…

Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen a great deal of change at Safety One and are planning for an exciting and busy 2018! Though some members of our staff have moved on, we are always excited to have new faces around the shop. Additionally, we have a large staff of qualified Instructors who remain more committed than ever to the quality of our training. With constant regulatory change and new safety alliances our commitment is to remain vigilant in researching applicable standards and continually updating our course content and offerings.

Join me as I discuss some of our thoughts on safety training for challenging environments.

The Greek philosopher Heraclitus is believed to have coined the phrase, “the only constant in life is change.” And that certainly seems to apply to life here! Recently, the founder of Safety One made the difficult decision to retire from his various roles with the company. As an organization we owe him a great deal of respect and wish him the best with wherever life takes him (we’ve heard rumors of SCUBA diving and a pilot’s license in his future). As much as change is continual, we remain committed to providing industry leading, engaging and hands-on training so you can rest well knowing your staff and co-workers are safe. As our business continues to grow we’re approaching new markets, new methods of communicating with clients. Along those lines we are actively seeking feedback from our students, clients and customers.

We recently developed a Student Satisfaction Survey to better understand what changes you would like to see in our safety programs. Also, each survey respondent is entered to win a $100 coupon to the Safety One Pro Shop, a fully stocked climbing and survival store located in our Littleton, CO facility. As we continue to grow we’ve been fortunate enough to deliver our training programs to new and emerging areas.

The telecommunications industry is a buzz with talk of National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) and various carrier requirements for NWSA certification. Safety One has been diligently working to become a practical examiner and examination site, with any luck we will be up and running in the next couple weeks. If you are looking for a practical examination site or evaluator, please contact us at 1.800.485.7669 or shoot us an email at [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from.

Finding the time to send staff (and contractors) to safety training can be challenging for every organization and the same holds true for most of our students. To alleviate this pressure, Safety One can come to you for OSHA fall protection training, rigging training, confined space training and other fall protection services. Or, if you prefer, we host open enrollment classes across the united states and can even help build custom or private classes to meet your challenging work environment! We offer specific certifications in many topics.

After successful completion of a Safety One class, students will receive a certificate and an identification card. Due to consistent certificate fraud or folks trying to pass off expired certificates as valid we have made changes to the look, feel, and design of both our cards and certificates. If there’s ever a doubt in your mind about the legitimacy of a card, certificate, or climber please contact us immediately – we will research your request quickly and at no charge. If fraud is identified we will work with you in any way possible to get your crew back to work as soon as possible.

Finally, we’re always looking for instructors with a passion for delivering our quality programs in a fast-paced team environment. If you’re interested in becoming a fall protection training instructor, rope access training instructor (SPRAT certification) or snowcat operator and have interest in joining the team or know someone who is, send us a resume at [email protected] or call us at 1.800.485.7669. With your continued support we look forward to an exciting and busy 2018!

Stay Safe!
