OSHA COMPLIANCE & REGULATION COURSES
Since we're in the business of training to keep our customer's compliant with OSHA's requirements, one of the most common questions we're asked is – Do we provide OSHA certification?
It's our understanding that no company (including other tower climbing training organizations) specifically provides OSHA certification for climbers. What we do however is, upon successful completion of our class material we certify that the student has successfully completed our program, which has been developed specifically to meet OSHA'S mandatory requirements.
OSHA mandates that all employers provide ongoing climbing & rescue training to their employees. In reality, the only person that could determine if a climber is compliant would be his or her immediate supervisor. It is Safety One's recommendation that each climber has a solid grasp of OSHA's requirements, and be certified through a reputable training organization which specializes in antenna & tower safety rescue. After a climber is certified by Safety One, it is recommended that each student recertify every two years anticipating that the employer take their responsibility seriously and provide ongoing training.
As part of the Safety One class, we cover what exactly needs to be made available should the Assistant Secretary for Occupational Safety and Health request your climbers' records.
Does this mean that every student attending one of our classes will be certified through Safety One?
NO! If a student doesn't master the material covered in the class, they will not be certified.
